What you'll do as a Technical Project Buyer (NPI)

As a Technical Project Buyer (NPI), you will be responsible for driving and executing our sourcing for New Product Introduction (NPI). You will support the implementation and set-up of new suppliers to support the NPI. You will work closely with our internal teams such as R&D and QA/RA on all new products. In this way you will have a direct influence on the development of our leading-edge product Kaleido 2.0 and the optimisation of current Kaleido products. And in doing so, impact the quality of life of people with diabetes. You will do this in an innovative, scale-up environment.

As the Project Buyer (NPI) is a new role, you will have the opportunity to set-up all the processes and 'build your own business'. In addition to being part of the NPI team, you will be purchasing equipment for the internal use of the Contract Manufacturing Organisation.
You report to the Procurement Manager and work in a team together with a Supply Chain Coordinator and a Purchase Coordinator.

Key responsibilities

NPI


• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for NPI to ensure alignment with business goals and long-term product innovation


• Identify, benchmark and strategically select high impact suppliers for NPI, ensuring the optimal balance of quality, cost and delivery performance.


• Lead high-stakes negotiations and establish solid contractual agreements with new and potential suppliers.

Equipment


• Design and optimize the equipment procurement process to improve operational efficiency and scalability


• Strategically procure critical equipment required for business operations


• Develop and manage strategic partnerships and service agreements with both new and existing equipment suppliers


•Continuously assess and improve supplier performance, using data and market insights to drive cost optimization and operational excellence.

Who are you


• You have a Bachelor's degree in a field such as Engineering combined with 5+ years' experience in purchasing, buying, procurement or a similar role. If this experience is in a highly regulated industry (medical devices, pharma, aerospace, automotive) it's a big pre.


• You bring technical understanding NPI processes. You understand what our engineers are talking about and feel comfortable in a manufacturing environment.


• You're a skilled negotiator with a track-record in securing strategic agreements and partnerships.


• You have the ability to influence and build strategic partnerships across all organizational levels.


• You will have a high level of adaptability and be able to cope with change in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
