As a Business Analyst, you will be a member of the Reconciliations squad. This squad develops and supports reconciliations for internal and external data such as cash, positions, transactions, and regulatory reporting. Operating at the core of the bank, the squad ensures controls across various business lines.
Top 3 Responsibilities
Perform analysis to continuously improve reconciliations and related services, with a focus on Transaction Reporting controls in response to legislative changes.
Represent business stakeholders and provide the squad with insights on business needs.
Analyze data and configure reconciliations to support the bank's objective of maintaining strong controls.
Working in an agile environment, you will collaborate with IT and business colleagues to support and continuously enhance reconciliation applications. Given the rapid changes in regulations and banking practices, you will play a central role in translating requirements into actionable solutions.
To ensure a strong and compliant banking framework, you will consider factors such as risk controls, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency in product development. Managing diverse changes and requests, you will maintain oversight and communicate clearly with stakeholders, guiding them in implementing the necessary adjustments and ensuring optimal outcomes.
The main challenges in this role include balancing multiple stakeholder interests, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and proposing standardized solutions across branches without overcomplicating the application landscape.

The 13-member Reconciliations squad develops and supports applications for optimizing and controlling data related to cash, positions, transactions, and regulatory reporting. Working closely with other squads across the bank, the team actively participates in large, ongoing transformation programs and aligns with stakeholders such as Front Office, Operations, Compliance, Architecture, and IT. Through strong communication and stakeholder management, the team fosters understanding and collaboration to drive meaningful results.
You and Your TalentThe ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, has experience in Data Management, Process Management, and Transaction Reporting, and understands the products traded by Markets & Treasury. In addition, the following qualifications are preferred:
3-5 years of experience in Wholesale Banking
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Experience with Scrum/Agile methodology
Comfort in working with both business and regulatory aspects, as well as technical elements of the product
Solid understanding of Transaction Reporting legislation (e.g., Canada and HKMA regimes)
Ability to navigate between diverse stakeholders, including business units, end-users, management, compliance, IT, and product teams
Strong interpersonal skills to manage varying interests and engage stakeholders effectively
A results-oriented mindset with a drive to improve and achieve outcomes
