We are now looking for a Demand Planner for DeJong Verpakking by Stora Enso.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Within the Supply & Demand Planning department, an essential part of our Supply Chain, you will have the opportunity to develop your talents. This department consists of four sub-departments: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, and Production Planning (Scheduling & Planning). Our production activities, seasonal and based on customer and inventory orders, take place in both factories.
As a Demand Planner, you are responsible for ensuring the timely availability of finished products at the right location, essential for the smooth execution of sales orders. Together with a team of passionate professionals, you work based on a budget set by management, with production planning up to approximately 2 weeks ahead being central. You anticipate inventory levels, manage key minimum order quantities and inventories, and ensure efficient dispatch.
As a Demand Planner at De Jong Verpakking by Stora Enso, you are the linchpin in our supply chain process. You will:
- Be responsible for creating a feasible global production plan, taking into account customer orders, lead times, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Actively monitor production progress and discuss deviations with relevant teams, such as production planning, sales support, work preparation, and dispatch/transport.
- Ensure efficient inventory management, determining key minimum order quantities and inventories, placing orders, and performing administrative actions.
- Create transfer orders for the destination of items and optimize the loading process.
- Prepare overviews and provide explanations to the Senior Demand Planner/supervisor, explaining deviations and proposing solutions. Actively contribute to improvements in systems and work processes by identifying opportunities and participating in projects.
What we are looking for:
- You have demonstrable HBO-level education and thinking;
- You have experience as a planner;
- Language skills: Dutch (preferred), English (required), and German (preferred);
- You are critical and pay attention to details;
- You can quickly switch between various tasks and maintain an overview.
