**What will be your role?**
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager at Taiko Cuisine, you will act as the right hand of the Taiko Restaurant Manager, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.** **You will lead and inspire a team of Waiters, a Supervisor, and a Sommelier, building a culture of excellence, attention to detail, and personalised service. Your responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing administrative tasks such as scheduling, time registration, and preparation for dinner service;
- Managing the creation and maintenance of SOPs and checklists to ensure consistent operations;
- Supervising restaurant closing procedures, both practical and financial.

In this high-paced environment, you will spend 80% of your time on the floor and 20% in the office. You will play a key role in the restaurant’s success through upselling and cost-efficient purchasing. Additionally, you will help develop the team by delivering training sessions and offering practical, on-the-job coaching to enhance their skills and performance.

Taiko Cuisine, created by Schilo van Coevorden, takes guests on a culinary journey through Asia, every dish is created with the highest quality ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. Located in the former percussion room of the Conservatorium school, Taiko Cuisine has a rich history. In the past, as people walked along Paulus Potterstraat, they could hear students practicing their drum solos through the open windows. Today, the sounds of the drum still resonate within our walls, thanks to the percussionist who plays the Taiko drum during dinner every weekend.

**Who are you?**
Our ideal Assistant Manager is a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently. We are seeking someone who is committed to continuous growth and passionate about contributing to the success of our award-winning team. Furthermore, you are/have:

- 1-2 years of experience in a luxury restaurant or hotel in Amsterdam;
- Leadership experience as a supervisor or assistant manager;
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English (Dutch is preferred);
- Knowledge of allergens and Asian cuisine;
- Expertise in wine and sake;
- Strong storytelling abilities;
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
