YOUR ROLE
The Control Room team of CEVA Logistics in Tilburg continues to grow Together with this team, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact for our client, de Bijenkorf. Data is playing an increasingly important role in today’s strategy: we are shifting the focus from explaining to predicting. In this way, we generate valuable new insights and directly contribute to smart, future-oriented decisions.
As a Data Analyst, you are responsible for keeping up with developments in your field and discussing new insights with your manager or executive team. You know how to translate these developments into concrete impact for the department and the organization.
You monitor deviations, map risks and opportunities, and contribute to improvements in efficiency, quality, and quantity. Based on well-supported analyses and data, you develop scenarios and business cases and present your findings, providing substantiated insights to colleagues, management, and clients. In addition, you support colleagues in performing their tasks in a data-driven way. You develop and manage data, data models, and methods, both on request and within projects, and transfer this knowledge to users and super users. You conduct analyses to improve efficiency, quality, and quantity and deliver reports that support responsible decision-making and continuous improvement. You also create automated reports to ensure insights are continuously visible.
Furthermore, you contribute to building a data-driven operation and to continuous improvements within the business. You inform managers, executives, and clients, give presentations, and collaborate with process owners on process improvements. In doing so, you translate data and analyses into a clear, understandable form for your audience and share best practices with partners.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
You evaluate the development of current work processes through your (trend) analyses and predictive models (e.g., using Python and machine learning);
When necessary, you clean or normalize data. This can sometimes be like solving a puzzle, but your colleagues are always ready to help;
You actively contribute to improving and optimizing our processes;
You publish the required reports and dashboards on the Tableau server, keeping the end user in mind;
You gather the right data from various internal and external stakeholders;
You create clear visualizations in Tableau, or design a mock-up for a colleague to develop further—depending on your interests and expertise;
Finally, you hand over the finished product to the user and ensure the data is correctly interpreted and applied;
Based on your analyses and domain knowledge, you provide well-founded advice to stakeholders.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Do you recognize yourself in the following traits and qualities?
A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Data Analytics, Data Science, Econometrics, or Supply Chain Management;
At least 1 year of experience in a similar role;
Experience with Tableau, Azure, and Python is a strong plus;
Knowledge of data models and databases, and preferably knowledge of IT languages for developing data models;
Experience or interest in predictive modelling, optimization, and machine learning;
Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
Strong communication skills.
