As a **Category Manager Mechatronics** within the **Engineering, Research and Development (ER&D) team in Indirect Procurement**, you will act as a strategic business partner to R&D, ensuring that ASML’s commercial interests are protected while enabling access to suppliers with mechatronic capabilities.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- ** Category Strategy Development**: Define and implement category strategies for mechatronics, aligned with ASML’s technology roadmap and procurement objectives
- ** Contracting and Negotiation**: Lead complex negotiations and establish robust contractual agreements that support innovation, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- ** Stakeholder Management**: Act as a business partner to D&E and Research, understanding their needs and translating them into sourcing solutions
- ** Supplier Management**: Identify, evaluate, and manage a global network of suppliers specializing in mechatronics
- ** Risk Management**: Monitor and mitigate supply risks, ensuring business continuity and compliance with ASML’s standards
- ** Cross-functional Collaboration**: Work closely with legal, finance, quality, and technical experts to ensure holistic sourcing decisions

**Education and Experience**:

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, preferably in a high-tech or R&D-intensive environment
- Proven track record in supplier management, contract negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration
