Are you up for a new challenge? For our in vitro Metabolism Team in Den Bosch we have a challenging opportunity for a LC-MS analyst metabolism with a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities.At Charles River Laboratories Den Bosch we are currently hiring a experienced:
LC-MS Analyst Metabolisme in vitro ADME
- Department: The Discovery & Environmental Sciences department consists of approximately 90 employees. Within this department, research is carried out into the safety of existing and new substances. Characteristic of the work is the great diversity of tests, test substances, customers and collaborations.

The section in vitro ADME (IVA):This section is a young and dynamic section that investigates the absorption, distribution and metabolism of different compounds. These can be pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, chemicals and food ingredients. The studies are performed in in-vitro models like hepatocytes, microsomes, but also in blood or plasma. We also perform the analytical analysis with LC-MS to quantify compounds in the in-vitro models. In order to investigate metabolites formed in these in-vitro models, we work with state-of-the-art high resolution MS instruments.

The team consists of 10 study directors and 13 technicians. Within the team there is an open and flexible culture and a pleasant and informal atmosphere, where everyone supports each other and where you are valued.

About your role:
As a technician you work in a dynamic team under supervision of a Study Director.

You will mainly be responsible for the performance of a diversity of in vitro metabolism studies which will include performance of the assays, sample pre-treatment and sample analysis with LC-MS/MS. You will also perform development, implementation and validation of the required analytical methods. In addition, you are involved in the implementation and validation of new studies. You will be working in a recently renovated laboratory (2021) equipped with state-of-the-art analytical equipment.

What is required: - A relevant HBO education (e.g. HLO); with a focus on analytical chemistry / biochemistry
- 2 years experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), both method development and validation
- Interest in identification of unknown compounds; familiarity with data processing software such as Xcalibur, Compound Discoverer, Empower and Masslynx
- Affinity and experience with biological test systems
- You have a hands-on attitude and ‘out-of-the-box’ mentality and enjoy improvising and troubleshooting
- You have a pro-active, results-oriented, enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible attitude
- You have good communication and presentation skills, both in Dutch and English

Nice to have: - Understanding of Good Laboratory Principles (GLP). - Certification to work with radioactive materials.
