**Sector Manager Water, Waste & Environment**:
We are seeking a sector manager water, waste and environment to support the scaling of our world wide initiative. In this role you’ll work seamlessly together with our current sector manager. Do you have a drive to make a real difference by empowering ambitious entrepreneurs in building a structurally better future for themselves and their communities; socially, ecologically and economically?
- Interviewing and selecting new experts for your sector together with one of our recruiters.
- Keeping in contact with the experts.
- Preparing the Plan of Approach for a project.
- Matching the client requests with the experts in your sector, in collaboration with the country coordinator.
- Providing expert advice in the field once or twice a year.
- Engaging in knowledge exchange, expanding your network, participating in training programs and organizing events like sector days for the experts
- Guiding the experts within your sector to champion PUM’s strategy.

**Being a PUM Sector Manager**:

- Interviewing and selecting new experts for your sector.
- Assessing requests from clients worldwide and matching the clients and projects with experts.
- Engaging with experts throughout their projects and providing guidance before and after project execution.
- Guiding experts to champion PUM’s strategy within your sector.
- The possibility of doing a project on location as an expert once or twice a year (this can also be in another sector).
- Engaging in knowledge exchange, expanding the network, participating in training programs and organizing events like sector days.

**Who are you?**:

- You are a people manager with an affinity for water, waste and environment. You do not need to be a specialist in in water, waste and environment for this role, but international work experience within the work field and affinity with the target group (water, waste and environment experts) and the clients is needed.
- You are experienced in managing diverse teams, fostering collaboration and achieving results.
- You have experience in the commercial sector and demonstrate a strong affinity with SMEs and entrepreneurship.
- You are an authentic, resilient, modest and dynamic professional with a strong intercultural sensitivity.
- You are passionate about driving sector development and eager to share fresh perspectives.
- You have excellent command of the English language; **proficiency in French and/or Spanish is advantageous.**
- You are very comfortable with digital tools, including Microsoft 365 and Dynamics.

**Volunteer position**:
The sector manager role is a **volunteer** position with a small expense allowance. For this role, we only consider applicants based in the Netherlands. Prescreening is part of the selection process. The role involves traveling to Africa, the Middle East, Asia and South America two times a year. At PUM, we celebrate diversity and inclusion as essential pillars of our organization.
