**The main role**

As a VIE, you’ll be able to join our R&D team in Eindhoven, where a new analytical lab was built in 2024. Different instrumentations were installed, such as XRD, TGA-DSC, a Particle size analyzer, XRF, and a Calorimeter.

These instrumentations are so far being used on a basic level, and the goal will be to help develop the analytical lab to its full potential, alongside with the R&D team.

Therefore, your missions will include:

- Testing and developing the available instrumentations;
- Analyzing the results through data interpretation & writing reports;
- Working towards the automation of the process and flow;
- Ensuring the good development of the lab’s potential.

Working from home is possible for 1 day per week, if the activity allows it.

This is a 12-month mission, extendable once.

If you recognize yourself in the following description, don’t hesitate to apply
- Master’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Chemistry, Materials, Civil Engineering or any related field
- You have excellent written and verbal language skills in English
- A first experience in cement chemistry will be considered as an asset
- You’re comfortable with Excel; some exposure to analytical tools would be a plus
- You are recognized for your analytical mindset
- You are a team player and dare to take initiative

With this R&D Project Leader analytical lab role, you’ll be able to develop products where alternative binders are being used to replace cement and for that reduce the CO2 footprint of the products. For finding and approving such binders, it is critical that quality tests are performed to ensure proper binder capacities.

The Weber R&D team in Eindhoven is one of the 3 R&D teams within Weber Benelux.

The team consists of 3 persons working closely together with other departments of the company, such as Quality Control, Production and Marketing.
The department has a very open structure and working atmosphere, where everybody is willing to help each other where needed.
