Strategy and Business Development Manager

Within Global Supply Chain - Strategy & Network Development we are looking for an experienced Strategy and Business Development / Project manager for Strategic Supply Chain Development projects.
- As SC Strategy and Business Development Manager you are responsible to deliver on strategic projects optimizing the end2end supply chain, leading to structural improvements in costs, cash, and service, and enabling business growth and expansion. In this strategic and relevant position you focus on realizing structural supply chain improvements across the Global Supply Chain. You work in and lead multidisciplinary teams and you have the capability to prepare sound recommendations for decision making by senior leaderships (Global SC LT and EB), and to execute strategic programs and projects.Wat we vragen
- Your intellectual and professional level is at least equivalent to a Dutch Master’s Degree.
- You have 5+ years of work experience - with relevant experience in supply chain, project management, analysis, and developing solid business cases. Experience with strategic projects is a pre.
- You like to crunch complex problems, approach them from different (out-of-the-box) angles, and are creative in finding ways understand / analyse them in the most relevant way
- You have the capability to manage processes / realize projects within time and budget, without making concessions to quality and safety. Specific project management skills (Prince, WWW and PPM) are a clear advantage
- You are analytical, perseverant, result orientated and a team-player. You have experience and are able to lead multi-disciplinary teams
- You can adopt a helicopter view but also zoom-in on data and identify relevant details to be understood.
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability to make complex matters simple without simplifying and to present it clearly to senior stakeholders.
- You have ample experience and skills in use of data analytics tools

This multifaceted role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational acumen, and business acumen. You are open-minded, creative and eager to find the best strategic solution to a business challenge. You investigate different scenario's and are able to turn ideas into concrete plans and to execute and deliver on these plans.

Topics range from strategic Supply Chain solutions / scenarios to enable business growth, Supply Chain segmentation, make-or-buy or footprint scenarios, partnership/acquisition options, or preferred strategic directions to reach e.g. our sustainability goals. You coordinate the activities required to deliver on the strategic processes and take responsibility and ownership to delivering the required end-results at the right time, quality, budget and scope, while managing risks and resources. You address business problems with a long-term view, but with a clear understanding on the impact in the short term.

You are in the lead of a multidisciplinary team of engineering, CapEx, procurement, S&OP, Commercialization etc. and make sure the team will make a balanced proposal for the best interest of FrieslandCampina.

You work with various stakeholders to understand the company’s strategy and how each initiative contributes to it. As well, you will work with senior management to identify opportunities, develop strategies and tactics that will help their organization achieve its goals.
