As part of the Marine Logistics Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in executing short-, mid
- and long-term strategic initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering collaboration across all divisions to maximize customer satisfaction, growth, and profitability.

**Key Responsibilities**

As Director Marine Logistics, you will be accountable for both strategic direction and operational success. Your scope will include:
**Business Development & Growth**

Drive business growth in the Rotterdam station, ensuring alignment with global strategy and product definitions.

Deliver sustainable revenue and earnings growth, actively participating in contract negotiations and closing deals with customers.

Explore and execute opportunities for both organic expansion and M&A initiatives.

**Leadership & Team Development**

Manage and motivate employees daily, ensuring a high-performing, customer-focused team culture.

Build organizational capabilities to meet evolving business needs.

Foster collaboration with other divisions, especially Ship Supply, to leverage synergies.

Operational Excellence

Oversee efficient and cost-effective execution of the entire product portfolio, including warehousing, first/last mile services, customs handling, and door-to-deck solutions.

Ensure optimal resource utilization across the group to maximize earnings.

Prepare and follow up on budgets, forecasts, and KPIs in alignment with Finance and the MD.

**Strategic Partnerships & Stakeholder Management**

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with global leadership to ensure strategic alignment across M&A, ESG, IT, and HR initiatives.

M&A and Integration

Actively participate in evaluating potential acquisitions and play a key role in due diligence and post-merger integration activities.

**Requirements & Qualifications**

**Professional Background**

Proven track record in business growth, including both organic expansion and acquisitions.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Marine Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or Supply Chain leadership roles.

Experience with 3PL/4PL operations, preferably within the marine logistics or spare parts sector.

Business and people management expertise, with a focus on implementing strategies at a regional level.

Education & Skills

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Logistics, or related fields.

Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).

Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and customer focus.

Knowledge of TMS, WMS, and ERP solutions relevant to the logistics industry.

**Product Portfolio - Rotterdam Station**:

- As Director Marine Logistics, you will oversee the local product portfolio, including;
- Managing local business/customers and delivering door-to-deck services;
- Supporting the global WML network with local services (warehousing, first mile, last mile, customs, etc.);
- Creating global business opportunities and leveraging cross-selling with other group entities.

Driving bundled offerings, combining spare parts, stores, and provisions for optimized last-mile delivery.
