Finance Administrator

**Description**:
Maccreanor Lavington is a multi-award-winning, design led architectural practice with offices in Rotterdam and London. We design single storey dwellings to whole city masterplans, working across multiple sectors but with a particular specialism in housing, schools, and city regeneration. We have a team of people dedicated in the pursuit of good quality sustainable architecture.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Finance Administrator to join the team in Rotterdam to help maintain and develop our financial systems, and to be a key part of our practice's success.

**Key Responsibilities**:
In this role you’ll be the first point of contact for all Finance related issues for the Rotterdam office, but will work closely with the Finance Manager and team in London to ensure that our systems and processes are aligned. You be a trusted member of the Rotterdam team with responsibility for a wide range of financial tasks including issuing and tracking project invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records in Sage and Rapport.

You’ll support payroll by liaising with our external payroll provider and will have good knowledge of Dutch payroll and accounting, you'll process staff expenses and benefits, and maintain employee financial records and project timesheets throughout their lifecycle. You’ll oversee purchase invoices, company credit cards, and bank reconciliations, while preparing VAT submissions across the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands. You’ll assist with financial reporting and audits, update project rates and codes, and provide general finance administration support to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

As well as working with and reporting to the Finance Manager in London, you will also work with the Directors of the Rotterdam office to ensure project finance administration is robust. Working with the project teams you will maintain accurate records and help uphold financial compliance.

**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:
We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and proactive. Experience in finance administration or a similar role is essential, excellent grasp of Excel, and familiarity with financial software such as Sage or Rapport is an advantage. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are key to success in this role.
