Corporate Relationship Manager – Banking

We're seeking an accomplished professional to join our client's Corporate Banking team as a Relationship Manager. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, ensuring high standards of service and effective financial solutions.

Role Overview:

As a Relationship Manager, your primary focus will be to oversee a portfolio of corporate clients, deliver thoughtful credit and financial analysis, and facilitate smooth collaboration across internal departments to ensure successful transactions.

Success in this position requires strong client management skills, financial expertise, and market knowledge to deliver excellent service and maintain regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Portfolio Management:
    Oversee a diverse client portfolio, consistently delivering banking services, building robust client relationships, and meeting annual targets for revenue and assets.
  • Credit & Financial Analysis:
    Prepare thorough analyses of financial statements and creditworthiness for both new and existing clients, assessing risk and supporting sound decision-making.
  • Credit Administration:
    Ensure all credit reviews are current, including annual reviews, internal ratings, and interim portfolio assessments.
  • Internal Coordination:
    Work closely with Credit, Legal, Compliance, and other teams to collaborate on credit proposals and reviews, ensuring documentation is complete and procedures are followed.
  • Operational Execution:
    Manage daily operational aspects of client transactions to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Special Projects:
    Tackle ad-hoc assignments and projects as needed, prioritizing timely completion.
  • Market Awareness:
    Stay up to date on market trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments to provide informed insights.

A solid understanding of banking products and lending, combined with excellent communication skills and a solutions-driven mindset, sets you apart. You thrive on collaboration, enjoy tackling challenges strategically, and possess the adaptability to work effectively within changing circumstances.

What You Bring:

  • Experience managing corporate banking relationships, ideally in a front office capacity.
  • Strong ability to analyze financial statements and assess credit risks for corporate clients.
  • Proven track record in client management, external marketing, and driving client satisfaction.
  • Deep understanding of market trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across organizational levels.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field.
