Position Overview
The HR Advisor supports managers and employees by providing practical guidance and expertise across all areas of the employee lifecycle. The role focuses on professionalizing HR processes and policies. The HR Advisor supports employee engagement initiatives such as onboarding, training and development, and internal communication on HR-related topics.
The HR Advisor also coordinates and manages employee insurance schemes, pension arrangements, and the work-related cost scheme (WKR). In addition, the role contributes to the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standardized HR policies, forms, and templates, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Ensure compliance with Dutch employment law, internal policies, and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) across all HR processes.
- Coordinate and manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, exit procedures, and retention/turnover analysis.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers on recruitment, performance management, development, employee relations, salary policy, and employment conditions.
- Drive employee engagement and well-being initiatives, including satisfaction surveys, training programs, employee benefits, and social events.
- Manage employee insurance portfolio.
- Support HR operations and audits, collaborating with HR admin/SSC and payroll to ensure accurate data processing and continuous improvement of HR systems.
Position Requirements
- Several years of relevant HR experience, including advisory and operational tasks
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
- Fluency in Dutch and English (both written and spoken)
- Strong knowledge of Dutch labor law and regulations
- Familiarity with Belgium payroll and labor law is a plus
- Hands-on, proactive attitude with excellent communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work in a dynamic environment
