Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Inpatient Behavioral Health Nurse Manager located in the Amsterdam area. As the Nurse Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day operations of the inpatient behavioral health unit, ensuring high-quality and compassionate patient care, and managing nursing staff to ensure compliance with safety and care standards. You will also implement evidence-based practices, coordinate resources, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Additionally, the role encompasses staff leadership and fostering a supportive and efficient work environment for the care team.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Nursing Management and proven leadership abilities to effectively manage and guide healthcare teams
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Medicine and Nursing, with particular emphasis on behavioral health settings
- Experience in Patient Care, including the ability to respond to complex patient needs and crises
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role
- Experience in behavioral health or psychiatry is highly preferred
- BSN required; advanced degrees or certifications in nursing or healthcare management are a plus
