About the Role
This position is responsible for leading and developing all operations, local sales, finance, and customer service for both non-asset freight operations and asset-based services, including Air, Ocean, and Road.
You will have full responsibility for subsidiary activities, including staffing, work distribution, and oversight of all work performed. The role involves regular reviews of financial, sales, and operations reports, performance levels, and P&L.
The immediate focus is on driving profitable growth by aligning and integrating the sales organization, developing operational capabilities, fostering a high-performing leadership culture, and creating long-term succession plans. A strong understanding of sales, finance, and logistics processes—particularly ocean and air freight—is essential.
Role is open to all employees, however there are preferred candidates identified.
How You Will Contribute
- Hold overall P&L responsibility across products (Air, Ocean, Road, and new services).
- Lead the Freight Forwarding country organization to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Develop strategic plans and prepare annual budgets, including investment and staffing.
- Ensure service quality and implement corrective actions to drive operational and sales efficiency.
- Build and inspire a high-performing commercial team and execute sales strategies aligned with company goals.
- Support M&A activities when required to accelerate growth.
- Optimize business practices to increase sales and reduce operational costs.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members for individual and organizational success.
- Implement SOPs for customer service, sales, and operations where needed.
Foster collaboration with other divisions to create cross-selling opportunities and end-to-end solutions.
What You Will Bring
- 15+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding, with expertise in General Management, Operations, Sales, Logistics, and Supply Chain.
- At least 7 years in a management role with P&L responsibility.
- Ability to manage key stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
- Advanced knowledge of logistics industry standards, processes, and security protocols.
- Strong commitment to client service excellence and relationship building.
- Skilled negotiator with adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Proven leadership ability to motivate and develop teams.
- High-level analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
