We're offering a temporary role where you can make a real impact during your time with us. You will coordinate our attendance at conferences with the sales, marketing, and R&D teams. You will be responsible for everything from booking venues, organizing logistics, to working with sponsors. For this role, you need strong communication skills, as well as an eye for detail. Your excellent organizational skills are needed to keep track of everything going on during the planning process.About MIMETASMIMETAS is a world-leading biotech company in the fast-growing 'organ-on-a-chip'-field. With our innovative products and services that enable 3D tissue modeling, we aim to improve the medicine development process while reducing animal testing. Our clients are pharmaceutical companies and academic institutes who strive to discover new and better treatments for patients. Our team consists of scientists working on services and product development, as well as commercial people spreading the word. Our people are enthusiastic, analytical, and international. Over eighty colleagues work in five locations in Leiden (the Netherlands headquarters) and Enschede (NL), UK, USA, and Japan.Your tasks will includeCoordinating conference attendance between the different departments like sales, marketing, and R&D;Organizing conference attendance, including booth shipment and logistics, registration, sponsorship packages, contact with the organizers, and coordinating travel arrangements;Plan and execute preparation and evaluation meetings with participating colleagues;Coordinate abstract submissions and support in the preparation of posters and presentations;Collaborate with relevant colleagues to coordinate social media communication of conferences.Your profileYou have a BSc background with a strong marketing mindset;You have at least 1 year of experience as an event coordinator;A background in life sciences is preferred but not necessary;You are well-organized with excellent multi-tasking skills;You have excellent communication skills to collaborate with members from other teams;You are proficient in the English language.We offerA challenging position of 24 hours in an international, fast-growing high-tech environment;Ample opportunities for personal development and growth;A competitive salary with benefits, such as a pension plan and annual company bonus;A fun team with colleagues from all over the world that love what they do.ApplicationsAre you interested in this position? .
