Are you a technical all-rounder with leadership qualities? In Amsterdam, we are looking for a Head of Technical Services to elevate the maintenance of two hotels (a total of over 450 rooms).

In this role, you will combine your practical skills with your talent for forming and leading a team. You will be involved both strategically and hands-on: from replacing a light bulb to coordinating investment projects. You ensure that everything runs smoothly, costs are reduced through preventive maintenance, and guests feel welcome and safe.

You are ambitious, like to get your hands dirty, and at the same time have a clear vision for the technical service. You know where things can go wrong, prevent problems by thinking ahead, and always see opportunities to improve what exists.

Your responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for technical maintenance within both hotels;
  • Hands-on involvement while also monitoring the long-term strategy;
  • Responsible for budget management and supervision of investment projects;
  • Focus on preventive maintenance to reduce costs and increase efficiency;
  • Actively contribute ideas about energy saving and sustainable solutions;
  • Build a strong and independent team step by step.

The Maintenance Manager has the following criteria:

  • Hotel experience is preferred; Experience in technical maintenance and a hands-on mentality: not afraid to get involved;
  • Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and water treatment systems;
  • Responsibility for engaging and following up with external parties/technicians during malfunctions (for example, electricity, heating, elevators);
  • Ensuring the management and control of material inventories (lights, furniture, small equipment); Experience in leadership or the ambition to grow in this area;
  • English is a must; Dutch is a plus.
