As a GCP Data Engineer, you will:
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data warehouse solutions using Teradata and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Work with BigQuery, MS SQL Server, and cloud-native tools for data modeling and transformation.
  • Build and enhance data pipelines using Teradata native utilities such as BTEQ, TPT, and FastLoad.
  • Migrate on-premise Teradata solutions to cloud platforms (preferably GCP).
  • Profile and monitor server resource usage to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Assist in database procedures including upgrades, backup, recovery, and migration.
  • Collaborate across multiple projects while managing time effectively to ensure timely delivery.
  • Optimize SQL queries, improve system performance, and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Implement best practices in data engineering, ETL processing, and cloud data architecture.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • 6–8 years of experience in data engineering with proven expertise in Teradata and GCP
  • Strong knowledge of GCP, BigQuery, MS SQL Server
  • Hands-on experience with Teradata native utilities such as BTEQ, TPT, FastLoad
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques
  • Proven expertise in data warehouse development, performance optimization, and ETL processing using Informatica
  • Experience in migrating Teradata workloads to cloud environments (preferably GCP)
  • Proficiency in SQL scripting with advanced performance tuning skills
  • Knowledge or exposure to Java, Python, or similar programming languages (preferred)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS
You should possess the ability to:
  • Analyze and optimize server performance using profiling tools.
  • Build scalable and efficient data pipelines in cloud environments.
  • Manage multiple projects with effective time management skills.
  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate technical concepts.
  • Ensure high-quality data delivery and maintain system stability.
