Mission

As Export Sales & Logistics Coordinator, you'll be the point of contact for our Dutch and European customers within our ingredients division. We supply ingredients to various industries for use in food and health functional foods.

The role will be based in our Amstelveen office. To exceed our clients' expectations, you'll be trained in the logistics, documentation, and import/export processes (from order placement to fulfillment). Together with your colleagues, you'll be responsible for the smooth processing of shipments and accurate shipping documentation.

Daesang Europe is the European office of the global company Daesang Corporation, headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Since 1956, Daesang has been a market leader in a wide range of Korean foods and ingredients, with iconic brands such as Jongga, Chung Jung One, and O'Food. From our office in Europe, we support the company's growth and presence across the region with a passionate international team of 35 colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contacting customers for the delivery service, you are the anchor for our customers whom we highly value and respect.
  • Coordinate daily activities with warehouses, transport companies, and freight forwarders to ensure timely loading and delivery.
  • Prepare, check, and distribute all transport and customs documentation (e.g. invoices, packing lists, delivery instructions, import/export documents).
  • Monitor shipment status, track deliveries, and proactively solve issues such as delays, damages, or missing documents.
  • Communicate with HQ in S. Korea (in English) for import procedures. Maintain and update logistics procedures, templates, and files to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • You will ensure compliance with customs, export, and applicable foreign trade/import laws, as well as applicable federal transportation regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics processes and systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's degree (HBO or equivalent) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or a similar operational role.
  • Good understanding of international transport, customs procedures, and Incoterms, or strong willingness to learn quickly.
  • Familiar with Incoterms.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple shipments and priorities at the same time, think critically through a multi-step process and follow up on various details.
  • Being able to manage multiple priorities while being customer-focused.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented, with experience working with documents, data, and ERP or logistics systems.
  • Good communication skills and service-minded attitude towards both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; Dutch and/or Korean is an advantage.
  • To be able to work from our office in Amstelveen. Preferably, you already live in the area.
