Are you ready to shape the digital frontier of procurement? DPW is seeking a Business Development Representative to drive event attendee sales to our annual procurement tech events in Amsterdam and the US.

At DPW, our sales team drives our business forward by making our events possible. Your mission will be to harness the power of digital channels and phone calls to grow a pipeline of attendees for our events and close sales so that we can continue to put on world class events. We're looking for someone who has at least 12 months of sales experience, ideally within the events business but we are open to hearing from anyone motivating by finding and closing sales to our events that people love to attend. We have a pretty high NPS, which we grow year over year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Selling event tickets to ensure a high footfall of attendees at DPW events

  • Market research and lead sourcing of potential sales prospects

  • Developing long term business relationships with clients to ensure repeat business

  • Developing a continuous pipeline of sales leads

  • Pitching to potential attendees via digital channels and video calls

  • Onsite interactions with attendees attending DPW events

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of digital procurement industry, and our competitors (we will help you learn here)

  • Keeping deals up to date in Hubspot (our CRM system)




About you
  1. Hunter mentality: Ability to find and close sales leads in a determined and respectful way.

  2. Communication and Team Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across the team. This person will need to work with the events, marketing, and executive teams. You'll also get support from these people - we're a very collaborative team and like to win together.

  3. Adaptability in Dynamic Environments: Proven ability to thrive in a fast moving commercial environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances. We're a start up and we like to move fast on new concepts and tactics. 

  4. Digital Marketing: Some background of working together with digital marketing tools and teams, including content marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, and paid advertising can be helpful, but we have a team who will enable your success here.

  5. Data Analytics: Basic proficiency in data analysis to collate and present your progress. We'll help you upskill if you're still learning.

  6. AI and Technology Savvy: Familiarity with GenAI such as ChatGPT and other technology tools that can assist in lead sourcing, outreach, and reporting. You should be comfortable exploring new tech solutions to improve your work.
