We're hiring a QA Engineer at Area of People

At Area of People, we're not just building software: we're helping create more liveable neighbourhoods. Our AI-powered community platform connects residents with each other and with real estate providers, helping them strengthen their social impact in measurable ways.

We're now looking for a QA Engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants real ownership. This role is about ensuring our resident-facing product ecosystem (across iOS, Android, and web) stays reliable, stable, and high quality as we scale.

What you'll do

  • Own QA across mobile and web products
  • Design and maintain test strategies, plans, and cases
  • Run manual, exploratory, and regression tests
  • Set up automated testing pipelines where possible
  • Ensure releases meet performance, accessibility, and reliability standards
  • Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams
  • Diagnose issues, document clearly, and follow them to resolution
  • Monitor production issues, crashes, and analytics to drive improvements
  • Help keep our design system and UX implementation consistent

What we're looking for

  • Experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester
  • Hands-on testing experience with mobile apps (iOS/Android) and web
  • Strong understanding of test plans, test cases, and regression suites
  • Familiarity with tools like BrowserStack, XCTest, Playwright, Appium, etc.
  • Understanding of API/integration testing and debugging tools (Postman, Charles, etc.)
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Fluency in English

Nice to have

  • Experience with automated test frameworks
  • Familiarity with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, etc.)
  • Background in SaaS or B2B2C platforms
