Purpose of the Role
The Technical Sales Support – Software & ERP plays a connecting role between commercial activities and technical support regarding software sales, programming, ERP integration, and installation support. The role focuses on supporting both customers and internal teams in the implementation, use, and sale of software and ERP solutions that are integrated with the products and services of BLM Group Benelux B.V.

Role Description

In this role, you work in a structured way, following procedures and agreements, and you understand how to interpret and act on the needs and requirements of both customers and colleagues.
You manage a variety of tasks simultaneously and, in consultation with the Service Manager, set the right priorities. You weigh not only technical aspects but also consider commercial and financial interests.

Core Activities and Responsibilities

• Support the commercial sales process of software products, including preparing technical quotations and customer-oriented demonstrations.
• Provide technical explanations and advice on selecting software solutions tailored to customer requirements and technical feasibility.
• Guide software installation and commissioning, including configuration, testing, and user instruction.
  Act as a link between the customer, project management, and development department during ERP integrations and data flow implementations.
• Support customers in the use of programming software (e.g., CAD/CAM and company-specific software like ARTUBE / PROMETHEUS), including technical explanations and assistance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and reports for internal departments and customers.
• Identify commercial opportunities and relay market needs to the product development and sales departments.
• Monitor the quality and progress of implementation and support processes in collaboration with colleagues from service, sales, and support.

• Manage files and work efficiently with various software tools.
• Act as the first point of contact for customers.
• Internal communication with colleagues (within BLM Benelux or BLM Group S.p.A.) and the Service Manager regarding tasks, quotations, and specifications;
• External communication with third parties such as customers, end users, and machine operators to exchange information on deliveries, complaints, etc;
• Coordination with relevant departments for commercial/technical alignment, progress monitoring, and advice.
• Be flexible and open to occasional overtime or overnight stays when required.

Candidate Profile

• MBO+/Bachelor work and thinking level, preferably in ICT, Industrial Automation, Commercial Engineering, or Technical Business Administration.
• Proven experience with software applications, industrial automation, and ERP systems.
• Strong command of Dutch and English (French is a plus).
• Proficient in CAD/CAM, Microsoft Office; experience with SAP and C4C is a plus.
• Understanding of hardware-related technology such as instrumentation, frequency converters, servo and PLC technology.
  Familiar with mechanical and process engineering installations.
• Driver's license (B) required.
• Willing to work overtime or stay overnight on-site when necessary.
