Your role
Our client is a fast growing audit firm, specialised in complex, international group audits. We are looking for a Manager Compliance and Risk who is able to run the compliance and risk affairs on a daily basis. The Manager Compliance and Risk will report to the Compliance Officer and Quality Decision Maker and collaborates with the engagement partners and (senior-) managers team to create and execute the Compliance and Risk strategy for the Amsterdam office with over 80 colleagues. It is a new role, giving opportunities to shape the role as you see best fit.
Main responsibilities are:
- Being the first point of contact for all Compliance and Risk related questions;
- To provide proactive support for all the employees and partner team on the full range of Compliance and Risk activities;
- Carrying out compliance and risk assessments, conducting reviews and interviews with partners and engagement managers;
- Drafting and executing policies and procedures, ensuring that these are effectively communicated with all employees;
- Provide training and education to employees on compliance and risk management topics;
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure that the firm's compliance and risk management practices meet expectations;
- Continuously evaluate and improve the firm's compliance and risk management programs.Working in an international business environment is demanding. The clients are expecting the highest level of commitment from our client and their employees reflect this attitude.

We are looking for a Manager Compliance and Risk who will become the backbone of our client's quality standards. Are you ambitious, do you aspire to work in an international setting, do you have excellent communication skills, do you like to work within diverse cultures, do you speak various languages (Dutch and English compulsory) and do you want to become part of an international team? Then we would like to hear from you.
You have at least six years of experience in a professional service organization and/or in an international environment and have developed into an all-round Compliance and Risk specialist.
You are organized, creative, have a keen eye for details, can build trust, you are enthusiastic, self-motivated, ambitious, and focused on results. You have a Dutch audit qualification (RA), US CPA or ACCA.
