Foundations of Your Job

As a
Structural Engineer
at Offshore Independents, you will be responsible for creating unique structural models and calculations for a wide range of offshore construction projects. Your role involves translating client requests into solid designs and collaborating with other project members.

A Glimpse Of Your Responsibilities

·       Taking responsibility for engineering activities and progress of projects;

·       Providing technical content and innovative solutions;

·       Design, prepare, calculate and specify offshore steel structures and installation

operations following the applicable standards;

·       Prepare hand calculations or analysis models according to industry standards;

·       Working as part of inter-disciplinary project teams, collaborating with other departments;

·       Providing support during the projects from tender until execution;

·       Contribute to the development of the Company's technical knowledge and experience;

You are the perfect match for Offshore Independents
if you also have the following skills and experience:

·       A BSc or MSc in Mechanical, Civil, Naval or Marine Engineering;

·       A minimum of 10 years of experience working as a Structural Engineer;

·       Experience with Heavy Lifting / Marine installation / Marine transportation methods;

·       Knowledge of vessel structures, vessel motions;

·       Strong knowledge of industry standards, such as Eurocode, AISC, ISO and DNV

·       Experience in preparing hand calculations and use of engineering software packages (Bentley SACS and ANSYS);

·       Experience with structural drawings and steel fabrication process;

·       Strong reporting skills;

·       Willingness to learn about all stages of a project like tendering or operational support;

·       Prior experience working as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer on marine construction vessels;

·       Proactive attitude, proactive, confident and flexible;

·       Fluent in English, both verbal and written;

·       EU work permit;

·       Residing in Holland or Belgium.

·      A salary between Є 5700 -
Є
6700 gross per month, depending on your experience;

· % holiday allowance per year;

·       Remote working policy up to 90 days per year;
