Job description
JDE Peet's is embarking on a critical migration of its Trade Promotion Management (TPM) ecosystem (XTEL solution). After 7+ years of operation, the current landscape involves a mix of global standards and highly customized local reporting streams.
We need a Data Strategy Lead with a "Player-Coach" mindset. You will step into a complex environment to audit the reality of our data, challenge assumptions, and support hard decisions on what to centralize, what to keep local, and what to retire.
Enterprise Guidelines with the pragmatic reality of Market needs will have to be navigated and balanced
The D&A Lead reports to the GIS – RGM Program Manager and a dotted line to the RGM CoE Manager.
Purpose:
The mandate is to define and deliver/implement the target landscape for analytics in the new XTEL version: filtering out legacy technical debt while ensuring markets have the insights they need to drive revenue.
Acting as the functional and technical D&A authority for TPM, this role provides oversight on data architecture, reporting, and analytics enablement across markets.
The key goals:
•Arbitrate the Migration Scope: Lead a deep-dive assessment of the existing 7-year legacy reporting landscape. Partners with RGM GBPO and key business stakeholders to decide which local reports are critical for migration and which should be replaced by global standards.
•Manage Stakeholders: Act as the final authority on D&A scope. Partner with business to "sell" unpopular standardization decisions to local stakeholders by demonstrating long-term value and stability.
•Pragmatic Governance: Adapt JDEP's enterprise data standards to the reality of the TPM program. Ensure the solution is compliant but workable
•Owns Design and Delivery:
•Design of the future-proof data foundation, ensuring seamless integration between the new TPM version and the corporate Data Lake/Warehouse, ensuring consistency with JDE's enterprise data standards
•Delivers the D&A workstream owning the entire development lifecycle of reporting solutions including the D&A elements currently used as integration with other application. (IRSI-OMP)
•Owns the Technical back end:
•Validate, Don't Just Delegate: Act as a hands-on technical lead. You must be able to validate data models and architectural decisions yourself (in Azure mostly) rather than relying solely on 3rd party consultants or assumptions
•TPM Data Mastery: understand the input/output flows of Trade Promotion Management processes by understanding XTEL data structures to design effective integration and reporting layers.
•Partners with RGM GBPO to ensure user adoption, change management, and operational excellence.
Requirements
•7+ years' experience in Data & Analytics, 7+ years in Data & Analytics, with specific experience leading data workstreams in large-scale system migrations or upgrades.
•Power BI, and Azure. You must be fluent in data warehousing concepts.
•Strong understanding of Commercial / RGM / Trade Promotion Management processes. You understand what "Base vs. Promo Volume" or "ROI" means to the business and how that translates to data fields.
•Mindset: Ability to navigate ambiguity. The guidelines won't always fit the reality; you are the one who creates the path forward.
•Direct experience with XTEL or similar TPM solutions (Promax, Wipro, Salesforce TPM).Experience in the FMCG / CPG industry
