Foleon is a leading content creation platform providing business teams with a fast and scalable way to produce highly-engaging content experiences that bring a new level of intelligence to their customer journeys.
Foleon is based in Amsterdam and New York and serves more than 1,200 global B2B brands.
We value people who are bold, ambitious, collaborative, and customer-centric. Even better, the ones who know how to work hard and have fun at the same time. We’re a team of highly driven people, with a great sense of human connection and a clear focus.
If you’re looking to build your career in a fast-growing international tech scale-up, you’re in the right place.
Your Mission
As a BDR, your mission is to create qualified pipeline for Foleon. You’ll identify the companies and people most likely to benefit from our platform, develop a point of view on why Foleon matters to them, and use thoughtful, persistent outreach to start conversations.
You’ll own your activity and outcomes, partner closely with Account Executives, and continually test new ways to break into target accounts. We’ll give you strong coaching, a modern tech stack and room to experiment. You’ll bring the drive, curiosity and consistency to turn that support into results.
Your Job
- Build pipeline: Own outbound pipeline generation across your territory and work towards clear targets for qualified opportunities and revenue impact.
- Find the opportunity: Research target accounts, buying groups and trigger events to identify where Foleon can solve a meaningful business problem.
- Earn attention: Create relevant, personalised outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn and other channels - moving beyond templates when the account calls for it.
- Start commercial conversations: Engage senior stakeholders, uncover pain, priorities and urgency, and qualify whether there is a strong reason to continue.
- Partner with Account Executives: Agree account strategies, share insights and hand over well-qualified opportunities with the context needed to progress them.
- Experiment and improve: Test messaging, sequences, channels and approaches. Use the data to double down on what works and change what doesn’t.
- Run a disciplined book of business: Prioritise your time, maintain accurate CRM records and follow through on every commitment.
- Learn the market: Build strong knowledge of Foleon, our customers, competitors and the challenges faced by modern content and marketing teams.
What success looks like
- Consistently create qualified sales opportunities and contribute meaningful pipeline.
- Your outreach is relevant enough to earn responses and resilient enough to survive silence and rejection.
- Balance activity with quality: you work at pace while thinking carefully about where and how to engage.
- Take ownership of your number, understand what is working and act early when you’re off track.
- Become a trusted partner to your Account Executives and a valuable source of market insight for the wider team.
Your Competencies & Skills
- Hungry to win. Targets motivate you, progress matters to you and you don’t wait to be chased.
- Have evidence of pursuing and achieving a goal in sales, fundraising, recruitment, hospitality, sport, study, entrepreneurship or another performance-driven environment.
- Creative and resourceful. When the obvious route doesn’t work, you look for another way in.
- Resilient. You can hear “no,” learn from it and make the next call with the same energy.
- Curious about people and businesses and can turn research into a relevant point of view.
- Communicate clearly and confidently in English, both in writing and conversation.
- Coachable, seek direct feedback and apply it quickly.
- Organized and accountable, with the ability to manage competing priorities without losing momentum or detail.
- Want to build a career in B2B sales and are prepared to master the fundamentals.
Your Qualifications
- Previous BDR or SaaS experience is welcome, but it isn’t required. We care more about evidence of drive, achievement and learning agility than a particular job title or background.
Helpful, but not essential:
- Experience working towards an individual target or measurable goal.
- Exposure to B2B sales, SaaS, prospecting or customer-facing work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, developed through an
