The Role
The ENG1 department from Bosch Security and Safety Systems is looking for an enthusiastic intern
ENG1 is an engineering department of Bosch which develops products for the Public Address and Voice Evacuation market. Our products are globally installed in airport, shopping centers, cruise ships, schools, hospitals, etc.
Are you studying ICT or comparable education and looking for a challenging internship? For our diverse and dynamic team located in Eindhoven and Portugal, we are looking for a motivated intern to strengthen our Knowledge Kiosk in improving and expanding the platform
In R&D there is a lot of information to share and some people have the need for a lot of detailed information where others have less need. It is not always possible to plan a meeting to share all new information. The Knowledge Kiosk is an interactive location where information can be shared actively or pulled on request. It is a large touch screen located in the coffee corner where people gather on a regular bases and will be exposed to new info or can actively access detailed information based on their individual needs. The knowledge kiosk is an internal website that provide a user friendly interface to various data sources.
️ Your Tasks
Review existing documentation and the current state of the Knowledge Kiosk platform; Identify key areas for improvement based on provided goals ( responsiveness, security, user friendliness, and remote accessibility); Implement improvements to the Knowledge Kiosk platform and work on extensions to the platform; Attend daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and demos as part of the Agile Scrum team; Document the development process, improvements made, and extensions added to the Knowledge Kiosk ; Deploy and demonstrate the updates to the ENG1 team; Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and next steps.

What You Bring:
You are currently studying ICTor a similar direction; You have proven experience in web development; You have knowledge of interface options with Microsoft Office and Adobe; You are proficient in English verbal and written; You are available for the minimum internship period of 6 months; You can work at our office in Eindhoven; You are based in the Netherlands, preferably in within reasonable commuting distance from Eindhoven.What distinguishes you:
Knowledge and experience in UI/UX development; Knowledge in Javascript and some of its frameworks, such as ReactJS and NodeJS; Experienced with Windows environments and servers; Basic knowledge about how to deploy in Docker Creative mind and a good organizer; Team player and able to work independently; Proactive and not afraid to take charge; Open attitude, suitable for an internationally oriented environment; You are interested in and/or have an affinity with technical products.
