Job Mission

To develop and realize structural improvements within ASML business processes with a link to D&E by inspiring and enabling people to solve cross-sector problems.

The department leads cross-sector programs and projects with impact on quality, availability, cycle time, costs and customer satisfaction by preventing and correcting known product and process issues (cross-platform and cross-part), removing roadblocks and providing means & methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness of business and quality processes. Examples are knowledge management, ESG, enz. Role and responsibilities

Responsible for structural, end-to-end cross-sector problem solving Creates/improves business processes and supporting tools Supports the creation and implementation of solutions Prepares and enforces decisions on tactical/managerial level Secure proper embedding and roll out in the organization Creates cross-sector buy in (sense of urgency) Supports project lead in defining the project by using e.g. lean six sigma or other common techniques Challenges the project scope (both widening and narrowing the scope) Takes ownership on workstream level within a project/program and drive it to completion Takes decisions at task and workstream level on time Implements/drives the changes in cross-sector processes Takes care of smooth and timely transition of ownership (acceptance) on solutions to line organization (both corrective and preventive) Behaves as an entrepreneur: initiates/leads new actions at the boundaries of the project on tactical/managerial level Contribute to the KM program within R&D, by designing, developing and deploying relevant KM processes and solutions Manage the execution of projects in the ASML roadmap via partnerships with internal stakeholders  Work together with the R&D Learning & Development team towards the common goal of shortening the time to effectiveness of engineers. Ensure alignment between knowledge management and learning initiatives. Support R&D clusters in creating sustainable methods for incentivizing and recognizing employees for knowledge management activities (for example: creating impact by re-using knowledge, capturing & sharing knowledge, driving and maintaining knowledge management improvements)

Education and experience

Education
A Master’s in science or engineering or other relevant discipline. Experience within research & development area is appreciated.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business improvement/continuous improvement role in a corporate environment. Experience in a technology or R&D driven environment is a plus. Project Management skills: Ability to manage project plans, budget, risk, mitigation, action logs and timelines Experience in working within matrix and multi-disciplinary project teams, including virtual working with teams across a number of regions in an international environment Consulting and business partnering skills: ability to understand the challenges and needs of internal customers, and tailor and deploy the KM value proposition effectively
