We are regularly looking for enthusiastic students (final year) or recent graduates who are willing to experience tangible working practices at a very international environment, by supporting our Market Intelligence team for a minimum of 6 months or preferably longer.

Atradius is one of the largest credit insurers in the world, providing credit insurance, bond and surety, collections and information services, with a strategic presence in over 50 countries and 3,650 multinational staff. The products offered by Atradius protect companies around the world against the default risks associated with selling goods and services on credit. Atradius is a member of Grupo Catalana Occidente (GCO.MC), one of the largest insurers in Spain. 

Our GMC unit currently consists of many different nationalities such as Dutch, German, Italian, British, Spanish, Turkish, Canadian, Chinese, Indonesian and Japanese.

Description Internship 

The person(s) appointed will assist the Market Intelligence (MI) team and associated units in the daily activities and certain projects. Here are some examples of tasks and responsibilities:

Performing supporting tasks to produce regular and various ad-hoc analyses, in the field of competition and markets, for the Atradius board members, directors and other commercial units; Distributing our news / market updates in the form of an intercompany SNS & newsletter in combination with our enhanced SharePoint site to communicate with the Atradius colleagues on the globe and increase our knowledge base; Conducting various market research and analyses for other strategic and operational initiatives; Contributing to certain projects of the MI team; and, Taking part in the initiatives of other GMC teams.

Requirements Internship 

We have two internship positions with different profiles, although we work together as one team and both interns are often expected to support each other.

Intern Profile A (financial analytics)

Finance background or Strategy / Economic background (university bachelor or master degree) Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with the Office365 suite would be an advantage. (Some skill tests of Excel and PowerPoint will be conducted next to an interview.) Some data visualisation skills (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) are desirable. 

Intern Profile B (Communications)

Marketing & Communications, Journalism background Good knowledge on Internal communications and market research Ideally with some active experience with – or exposure to – social media Sufficient MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with the Office365 suite would be an advantage. (Some skill tests of Excel and PowerPoint will be conducted next to an interview.)

Furthermore (Common profile)

Fluent English, other languages are very welcome. Nice-to-have data sharing / visualisation skills (e.g. SharePoint, HTML coding)  Availability at least 4 days / week – preferably 5 working days / week Right to live and work in the Netherlands for the duration of the internship. Non-EU citizens need a work permit for the Netherlands and/or an official university agreement.

A successful applicant should also have:

Eager, proactive, agile and hard working with a hands-on mentality; Can do attitude and a growth mind-set; Team worker but with the ability to perform independently with good self-discipline; Solid organisation/communication skills; Being tech-savvy is an advantage.
