Rol overzicht:
The Engineer Battery Systems is verantwoordelijk voor de ontwikkeling en innovaties op het gebied van batterijontwikkeling en batterijtesten. Als beginnend technisch expert begeleid je onze interne teams om de batterijgerelateerde activiteiten te laten groeien en onze kwaliteit en volwassenheid te verbeteren. Extern ben je een van de experts die betrokken is bij vroege klantdiscussies en de voorstelfase. Het aandachtsgebied zal zijn HV batterijsystemen voor een breed scala aan toepassingen, variërend van personenauto's tot bedrijfsvoertuigen of niet-voertuigtoepassingen.
Je verantwoordelijkheid zal zijn:
Technische governance bij het opzetten van het nieuw op te bouwen batterijtestcentrum op onze locatie in Helmond, Nederland; Werk samen met mechanische/elektrische/thermische simulatieteams om state-of-the-art batterijen of batterijsubsystemen te ontwikkelen; Opstellen van procedures en vereisten voor het ontwikkelen en testen van batterijen; Bekijk de batterij en het ontwerp om er zeker van te zijn dat het systeem aan alle vereisten voldoet; Beoordeel ontwerpen inclusief BMS-software, functionele veiligheid, hoogspanningsveiligheid en selectie van elektrische componenten; Controleer de elektrische componenten van de hoogspanningsbatterij om er zeker van te zijn dat de batterij voldoet aan de veiligheids- en functionele vereisten; Bekijk HV-batterijcomponent en pakket DFMEA met leveranciers; Ontwikkel voertuig-HV accupakket aansluiting DFMEA; Ervoor zorgen dat ontwikkelde batterijen voldoen aan alle wereldwijde (veiligheids)normen en -eisen.Wat motiveert jou?

Functie-eisen:
Systeem- of Werktuigbouwkunde (master)diploma; Ervaring in de ontwikkeling en validatie van batterij hardware; Basiskennis van celchemie; Ervaring met het ontwerpen van HV-batterijen is een pré; Kennis van de regelgeving en ontwerprichtlijnen voor batterij- en HV systemen; Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden en stakeholdermanagement; Werken op locatie in Helmond.Wat wij bieden:

Wil jij meewerken aan de technologie van de toekomst? Bij VDL ETS werken we met zo'n 120 collega's aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe innovatieve transportoplossingen. We onderzoeken, ontwikkelen en testen nieuwe mogelijkheden voor met name transport gerelateerde activiteiten van VDL-bedrijven. Of dat nu gaat over elektrisch rijden (e-Mobility), autonoom rijden, energieopslag, batterijtechnologie, laadinfrastructuur of geleidings- en navigatietechnologie.
