We are seeking an interim Occupational Hygiene and Occupational Safety Manager to join our QHSE team. This role will be until the end of January 2025 with the possibility of an extension.
Responsibilities
As Interim Occupational Hygiene and Occupational Safety Manager, you will join our dedicated QHSE team headquartered in Amsterdam. Reporting to the QHSE Director, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and well-being within our innovative and international organization.
Develop and implement occupational hygiene and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and evaluations to identify occupational, exposures in the workplace. Design and implement strategies to control and mitigate occupational health and safety risks, including exposure to hazardous chemicals, noise, vibration, and physical hazards. Oversee the implementation of occupational health monitoring and surveillance programs to assess employee health status and identify potential health risks. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action implementation for occupational exposure incidents, injuries, and illnesses. Develop and deliver occupational health and safety training programs to enhance employee awareness, knowledge, and skills. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate occupational hygiene and safety considerations into business processes, projects, and operations. Establish and maintain effective communication channels and partnerships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders.What do you bring?
Professional certifications in both fields. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices. Minimum 2 in conducting risk assessments, exposure monitoring, and occupational health surveillance programs. Skills in identifying and assessing workplace hazards and implementing appropriate control measures and performing RI&E. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proven leadership and project management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading occupational health and safety initiatives. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in MS Office suite and occupational health and safety software applications like Stoffenmanager.What do we offer?
