We are seeking a junior tax professional with some European experience who is highly motivated and looking to take the next step in their career development. The ideal candidate is somebody who can help drive the growth of the organization, while being able to maintain a fair balance between optimization and compliance. 

In this role, you will be working for a highly dynamic online global retailer who specializes in home and garden goods. This e-commerce organization has been operating for over 16 years and has an online presence in over 30 countries.

BeschrijvingResponsibilities: International Tax Specialist

Reporting directly to the Group Controller, you will be responsible for the global indirect and direct tax processes, including:

  • Taking into account international, regional, and country specific tax developments, you will support medium and long-term tax strategy in conjunction with the evolution of the business;
  • Enhance and maintain the master and local Transfer Pricing files and reporting;
  • Interact with external tax advisors on local tax files while building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Analysis of the impact of global tax developments and trends on the governance and compliance responsibilities of the group;
  • Implement a global tax control framework and ensure tax compliance for taxes like CIT, VAT, and environmental taxes;
  • Accurate and timely declarations for direct and indirect taxes like CIT, VAT, and environmental taxes.

 

RequirementsRequirements: International Tax Specialist

In order to succeed in this role, we ask that you have: 

  • 1+ years of European tax experience at a major and international accounting firm, law firm, or other international organization;
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics (or equivalent); 
  • Fluent in English, Dutch Preferred;
  • Proven experience in an international e-commerce or retail environment preferred; 
  • Strong communication skills and a high sense of ownership;
  • Willingness for some travel when neccessary. 
SalarisThe Offer: International Tax Specialist

The salary will be  between €4000 and €4500 per month on a full-time basis and will be dependent on the amount of knowledge and experience that you bring to the company. There will be additional benefits that will be included with this role that can be discussed in further detail.
