Summary

Our Fall Pipe vessels, Cable Laying vessels and Heavy lift vessels are highly technological equipment working in the offshore industry. As an engineer you are part of the engine room watch and perform watch duties, with due consideration for the engine room safety.

You carry out duties according to STCW regulation

You maintain and repair the technical equipment on board according to instructions of the First or Chief Engineer

You operate main and auxiliary machinery and the associated control system

You assist the First and Chief engineer for the efficient and safe running maintenance of the equipment

You maintain a safe engineering watch

You observe the quality, health, safety and environmental system. 

You completed a maritime education in Engineering

You have several years of work experience in the maritime or offshore field

You have a Certificate of Competency Officer in charge of an Engineering watch (III/1) or Second Engineer (III/2) 

You have the required, valid certificates for the position, according STCW 2010 Amendments

You have a valid HUET or BOSIET certificate (preferable)

You have a STCW VI/6 Security Awareness or VI/6 Designated Security (preferable)

You have a valid Passport, Seaman's Book, Seafarers Medical

You have a strong awareness of Health, Safety and Environment

You have a hands-on and no nonsense mentality

You speak and write English fluently

Mission Equipment Owner

As mission equipment owner, you will work within our activity line offshore (ALO) as technical superintendent for our mission equipment, used across our vessels in our ALO fleet. You will be responsible for the coordination of maintenance and repair activities of projects misssion equipment.

Environmental Engineer

Our Environmental Engineering Team is operating from the HQ in Zwijndrecht as a central working place. However, working in direct support for different tenders and projects worldwide, dedicated international long-term site assignments (both on ALO and ALD works) form a significant part of your assignment - to explore and deploy environmental engineering solutions throughout DEME’s business line.

Tender Manager Landfalls and Umbilicals

As a Tender Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing international tenders and commercial opportunities and managing corresponding project proposals for complex offshore works. Under your leadership, your team shall analyze the project scope, and develop the engineering, the planning and the pricing.

The Landfall and Umbilicals Business Unit of DEME Offshore manages the entire spectrum of activities required when offshore works transition into onshore. This includes seabed preparation (pre-sweeping and/or trenching), facilitating pull-ins and restoring the site by means of backfilling. Depending on the project location and environmental guidelines, the most suitable approach is selected. To complement these activities, we also offer backfilling and pre-sweeping services in offshore waters, which are often required to protect, stabilise and maintain the integrity of pipelines and cables.

As central point of contact you will establish strong relationships with (potential) clients during the whole process. You will lead and manage a tender team through application of our tender and acquisition processes; you will motivate and empower your tender team members from the various DEME Offshore specialists support departments, such as Engineering, Legal, Insurance, Finance, Project Controls. Through facilitating excellent team communication and efficiency, you will support ownership and maximize innovation, targeting a high-quality tender submission and contract. Finally, you and the tender sponsor will take the lead in tender clarifications and negotiations with clients after the submission of the tenders.

Als Projectingenieur Bodem ben jij dé expert voor alle vragen met betrekking tot grondverzet- en milieuwetgeving in onze bagger- en grondwerken. Samen met de afdelingsverantwoordelijke stel je de grondverzetscope op voor het Oosterweelproject. Dit vereist nauwe samenwerking met de civiele werkvoorbereiding, het uitvoeringsteam voor grondverzet, en het calculatieteam. Deze positie is gevestigd op onze projectkantoren in Merksem, Antwerpen, waar je een integraal onderdeel zult zijn van een gepassioneerd, multidisciplinair team dat zich inzet voor het leveren van uitzonderlijke resultaten.
