Team Lead Technical Support

- Being part of the Connectivity Business Division, the person is responsible for leading a team of technical support engineers with SW/systems competence in The Netherlands.
- The person must be an expert in wireless connectivity protocols, preferably Bluetooth or WIFI. The person must delegate the tasks in his team and is responsible for mentoring and training of the people in his team.
- The job requires an engineer who can take a responsible role in larger customer projects and act as an interface to internal Renesas development teams as well as to its design partners.
- The Team Lead Technical Support is reporting to the Business Unit Technical support manager.
- Delegate technical customer support tasks to his team members according to the defined way of working in the technical support organization.
- Mentoring of the direct reports, giving appropriate guidance and support, and reviewing technical and behavioural performance regularly.
- Support interview process, on boarding, off boarding, performance management and training for the team
- Responsible for continual personal and professional development of all team members.
- World-wide travelling ~10%
- Meet the group targets for ticket resolution (Time from open to close)
- Customer satisfaction level
- Develop the technical and non-technical skillset of the team, ensuring clear career development and progression. Demonstrate effective performance management
- Behave as both technical and behavioural role model within the group, demonstrating the work ethic technical expertise and ability to deliver that others aspire to.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years’ experience in customer support of wireless IC’s preferably Bluetooth, DECT, WIFI
- Key skills: Wireless protocols, ARM cortex microprocessors, Embedded SW.
- Debugging skills, Knowledge of low level drivers (UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, SWD)
- Expert user of GIT repository management
- Strong communication skills: Communication to team members but also direct interface to engineers at the customer. The Team Lead must be able to build and maintain good internal and external relations
- Leading a customer project handling deliverables and planning
- Engineering degree in Computer science or Electronics
