Job Summary

As Junior IT Administrator you work closely together with the System Administrator and are responsible for setting up and guaranteeing the continuity of the technical infrastructure. You ensure the implementation and handling of changes and solve disruptions and malfunctions. You can actively advise on improvements of software, servers, networks, and network components (communication infrastructure) including IT security, based on user evaluations, performance measurements, and your own analyses, and to continue the installation and configuration of the chosen improvement needs. You act as a point of contact for your colleagues in the operational workplace and you monitor the stability, safety, availability, quality, and continuity of the infrastructure.

Responsibilities

You are an expert in your field and/or have the ambition and potential to become one with a passion to continuously learn and develop and master new technologies. You have a pioneering spirit and drive to apply new technologies, methodologies, and concepts in projects at various locations.
For the role, we require 1-3 years experience as System Administrator (or similar) analyzing and solving network and server problems.

Being an enthusiastic and customer-oriented IT professional who is looking for an informal working environment in which you can learn new things and where you can make an important contribution to the team. You are enterprising and proactive; you can think out of the box. Knowledge and experience with LAN, WAN, VLANs, DNS, and Routing. Demonstrable experience as a system engineer, system administrator in a Microsoft environment and Linux is an advantage Knowledge and experience with Microsoft server 2019. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure. In possession of driving license B. Experience with monitor systems (RMM) is an advantage. Good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages. Have a feeling for service and working in a customer-oriented way. You are available full-time (40 hours a week). In possession of driving license B. Experience with monitor systems is an advantage. Requirements

Desirable skills/experience/education

Minimum of 1-3 years working experience in third-line support. IT education at MBO-4 level or comparable training/certifications or are willing to obtain this. Knowledge of data protection (AVG/GDPR) Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail.

Essentials

EU citizenship and or EU Work Permit; Regional team involvement will mean that extended and/or irregular hours will be required. Ability to work well with others & independently, without supervision. Travel to other/future AmSpec European locations may be required. Knowledge of local environment (with attention for wastes), health and safety requirements/legislations Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety, environmental, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
