This is what the job entails

As data governance and protection specialist, it is your responsibility to propagate ING’s data strategy across ING. Your focus will be on specific functional domains in the Business Support Functions area (HR, Analytics, Global Technology, PSS, etc) You will further:

Expand, improve and actively promote the data management strategy and particularly the data governance aspects; Ensure Business support functions domains data management compliancy and creating value by increasing Be responsible for establishing controls around our various policies (on data management, data protection, data retention & deletion and many more) and drive improvements of these controls; Ensure that ING complies with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities defined at ING Group level and by our regulators (. GDPR, BCBS239, ESG); Translate policies and guidelines into actionable data governance activities (. data exchanges, data traceability and data quality); Guide and coach others in the field of data management (. data stewards). You bring data literacy into ING

As data governance and protection specialist you bring with you

As data governance and protection specialist you bring data management experience and enthusiasm around data to ING. You further have:

a passion for data and data governance; a bachelor/master’s degree, preferably with a data (governance) background or in law / regulations / accountancy / IT and/or knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK; a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an area as mentioned above; the capability to master complex materials and translate them into understandable content; an excellent understanding of the English language; understanding of Dutch or Romanian is a plus; an outgoing personality; you can connect with many stakeholders and liaise easily; a self-starter mentality. CDMO is a global organization, with people working in Amsterdam, Manilla, Bucharest and many more ING countries.
