What are you going to do?

As a Project Leader R&D, you coordinate and realize innovations based on both internal and external needs. From the first idea to the transfer of a prototype, you are the linchpin in the project.

Your role:

As a Project Leader, you will carry out R&D and contribute ideas for product development and optimisation. In terms of content, you think strongly about the possibilities. You assess and advise on strategic partnerships and prioritize projects together with the manager. You draw up a project approach according to the stage gate principle and map out the required resources. In addition, you put together the right project team and organize kick-off meetings. You oversee the project from idea to start prototype, define and discuss project requirements with the team, and coordinate budget and timeline with the manager. You will also draw up a project schedule and discuss it with stakeholders. You oversee the process in which the innovation is integrated and coordinate activities in the gate prototype. Organizing periodic meetings about the project progress is an important part of your role, as is involving internal and external parties in the realization of the project. You identify and anticipate deviations within the project, organize and record information for WBSO applications, provide progress reports, act as a point of contact for the project team and other stakeholders, and communicate about process problems and areas for improvement.

What do we ask of you?

Completed bachelor or master in technical education for example: Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management) At least 8 years of demonstrable work experience in developing and implementing innovative technologies. Knowledge of agro-food industry, product development, market introduction, business development, technological developments in mechanical engineering and plant breeding. Overview, persuasiveness, result-oriented and leadership qualities.
