Position Overview: The Customs Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring that the company's imports and exports comply with all relevant customs regulations and procedures. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a good understanding of customs laws and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Documentation Management: Prepare and review import and export documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.Maintain and update records of all customs documentation and transactions. Customs Compliance: Ensure that all shipments comply with customs laws and regulations.Liaise with customs officials and other government agencies to facilitate the smooth clearance of goods. Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., procurement, shipping, and finance) to gather necessary information for customs declarations.Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods. Data Entry and Reporting: Accurately enter customs data into relevant systems and databases.Prepare regular reports on customs activities, including any issues or delays. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any customs-related issues or discrepancies.Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and advise the team accordingly. Support and Assistance: Assist the Customs Manager with audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and information.Support the logistics team with other administrative tasks as required.
