Werken bij de Gemeente Breda is werken in een stad met ambities. Om alle ambities te realiseren beschikt Breda over een begroting van zo’n € 900 miljoen en een fors investeringsprogramma (€ 100 miljoen per jaar). We denken vooruit en maken mogelijk. Voor onze inwoners én voor onze medewerkers. Onze ambitie is om als organisatie 'in control' te zijn, en Team Audit kijkt vooruit en is voorbereid op onvoorziene situaties. Dat betekent sturen en beheersen


Om vast te stellen of de uitkomsten van al onze processen betrouwbaar zijn en of we daarbij ook werken volgens wet en regelgeving, vervult Team Audit een cruciale rol. Dit doen we omdat we het willen en moeten. Willen, omdat we als organisatie in control willen zijn. En moeten, omdat we dagelijks middelen besteden die niet van onszelf zijn en waarover we goed verantwoording aan burgers, gemeentebestuur, provincie en rijk afleggen. Zo dragen we bij aan transparant bestuur.

Functieomschrijving

Voor de controle van de jaarrekening voeren wij financial audits uit. Dit betreft o.a. de processen inkoop/aanbesteding, subsidies, Wmo, Participatie, diverse opbrengstenstromen en de balansposities. De uit te voeren audits vormen de basis voor de rechtmatigheidsverantwoording van het college én de accountantscontrole. Wij stellen dan ook hoge eisen aan de uitvoering van financials audits en de eigen oordeelsvorming. Dat reikt verder dan alleen signaleren en rapporteren. Op basis van bevindingen willen we de organisatie ook in staat stellen tussentijds te kunnen bijsturen op de kwaliteit van processen of het herstel van (dreigende) onrechtmatigheden. 


Als Senior Auditor: 

  • Maak je deel uit van de afdeling Concerncontrol, Team Audit.
  • Voer je zelfstandig audits uit op processen en systemen ter ondersteuning van inkoop/aanbesteding, opbrengstenstromen en balansposten. Daarbij vorm je een oordeel over de mate van beheersing en de getrouwheid/rechtmatigheid van de kosten en opbrengsten.
  • Lever je een bijdrage aan de noodzakelijke procesverbeteringen binnen de organisatie. Daartoe ben je in staat op grond van je ervaring en (specifieke) expertise.
  • Ben je volwaardig gesprekspartner voor management, directie en accountant.
  • Lever je een actieve bijdrage aan de continue verbetering en professionalisering van Team Audit.
