PROFILE:
You graduated with a Master of Engineering, Computer Science or any relevant field in University, and you have significant experience in project management
You appreciate to be a team-player and enjoy collaborative work (co-engineering)
You are recognised as a self-motivated leader, willing to engage and develop your team using collaborative work and challenging approaches
You are analytical, dynamic and autonomous
You are an effective communicator
COMPETENCIES:
You know how to use your skills to plan, organise teams, and guarantee the follow-up of engineering projects by respecting deadlines, costs and quality with a clear vision of risks and opportunities
You have good knowledge of subcontract and work package management
You have proven experience in coordination of various technical activities
You know how to produce synthetic and quality reports
You have outstanding problem-solving skills and a passion to solve hard problems
You can demonstrate knowledge in financial, workload plan and risks management
You are familiar with bidding process
LIFE AS A THALES ENGINEERING WORK PACKAGE MANAGEMENT ROLE
As an Engineering Work Package Management Role within Thales, you will be responsible for:
Work Package Organisation and Planning:
Work Package Launch:
Work Package Execution:
Achieve the objectives of the Work Package and take the necessary management actions to correct any deviation from the baseline or objectives Identifying and solving issues, managing the risks and opportunities and performing mitigation activitiesWork Package Monitoring and Control:
Review document, specifications, schedule and estimate files using peers where necessary Monitor & consolidate all deliverables Update the schedule, risk & opportunities register, the ETC & EAC Consolidate the work package dashboard and lead progress meetings Report as per the PMP and escalate to the PM any variances or key issuesQuality of Deliverables:
The WPM is responsible for the quality of the delivered products, services and documentation within the project committed time and budget and in the scope of the work package The WPM ensures that all configuration items within the WP scope are managed (could be done by a configuration manager)Key Stakeholder Relations:
Lead the team and/or suppliers involved to perform the work package and ensures the respect of all commitments Participate and input to all relevant project reviews as specified in the PMP Act, where required, as PM delegate to the Client. Act, where required, as the Thales representative for sub-contracted work
