Job title: Network Administrator

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Network Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network and security administration, leadership capabilities, and be eager to contribute to the team's success by managing and enhancing our network security infrastructure. This role will involve a combination of hands-on technical work, team leadership, and service support duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, focusing on firewalls and security protocols.
  • Lead a team of at least 5 colleagues, providing guidance and support for day-to-day operations.
  • Perform regular system and network maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
  • Engage in consignment services to ensure 24/7 operational security support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to assess current and future system needs.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Maintain compliance with government or corporate policies and standards in network management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in network security practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate has at least 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a Senior Administrator.
  • Candidate has HBO working and thinking level and a completed education in the field of Computer Science, Computer Technology or Telecommunications related knowledge area
  • Candidate is willing to perform consignment services
  • Candidate has at least 1 of the following three certifications: - Fortinet NSE4/FC or higher or - F5 BIG-IP administrator (F5-CA) or - Checkpoint (CCSA, CCSE, CCTA, CCTE, CCMS and/or CCVS based on R80 or higher)
  • Candidate is willing to work at least 50% of the time from the Maasland office location (4 days a week during the induction period)
  • Candidate has at least 3 years of work experience as a Sr Administrator in the field of networks, firewalls and security
  • Candidate has at least 2 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years working at a central government institution or corporate organization.
  • Candidate has at least two years of demonstrable work experience in managing a team of at least 5 colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidate is preferably F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA)
  • Candidate preferably holds one or more of the following Check Point certifications: CCSA, CCSE, CCTA, CCTE, CCMS and/or CCVS based on R80 or higher
  • Candidate preferably has the following Fortinet certification NSE4/FC or higher
  • Candidate preferably has at least 2 years of knowledge of and demonstrable experience with Zabbix
