Your contribution to TenneT
As an Operational Readiness Manager / Grid Connection Manager, you will be responsible for the operational readiness of both the offshore and onshore side of the 2GW Grid Connection Systems (GCS) currently under development and construction. Upon completion of the commissioning and handover you will be responsible for the operational and financial performance through safe, efficient and effective management of operations and maintenance of a (cluster of) Grid Connection System(s) As part of your duties, you will actively support the development of the department and shape the daily cooperation of the core team across the entire operational portfolio of the grid connection systems. In doing so, you will accompany the grid connection system(s) entrusted to you through two life phases: during the operational readiness as well as the operations phase You will act as an interface between the stakeholders both in the construction project as well as in the operating departments of the GCS and you will identify and monitor risks and opportunities to ensure optimum quality and performance of the installation and its primary and secondary systems You will plan and organise the involvement of your assigned operations staff in the handover process of the project, i.e. for example participation in design review milestones, sign-offs, quality checks and during the commissioning phase offshore You will further develop the operational readiness plan according to internal standards and frameworks, monitor the implementation, oversee progress and report to operational stakeholders Occupational safety and health are of utmost importance to us. Therefore, you actively contribute to a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and your colleagues
Your profile and background
You are an intrinsically motivated personality who appreciates working in a dynamic, diverse and cross-border team. As a fast learning team player, you contribute to an exceptional team cohesion and demonstrate strong leadership skills You have a degree in engineering in the fields of marine & offshore technology, mechanical engineering, electrical or civil engineering etc. Alternatively, you have a comparable educational qualification and relevant professional experience In addition, you can lean on extensive experience in leadership positions in the (renewable) energy and technology sector, preferably in the field of offshore projects and/or field operations & maintenance both offshore and onshore. You have a broad technical background and enjoy working in a generalist way. At the same time, you are keen to get involved in details as and when required. It goes without saying that you are able to keep a clear overview in complex situations and can set priorities and maintain an eye on the bigger picture You are willing to work across locations and countries. International travel is part of your everyday professional life. Depending on the project situation, the average travel time could be up to approx. 50% of the working time in support of the construction projects in the yards across the world You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English As this position involves working in an offshore environment, medical suitability for offshore assignments as well as fitness for working at heights is required
