SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In your new role you will have flavor regulatory responsibility for newly developed substances and products of our existing portfolio to ensure business growth, fulfilling requirements from regulatory bodies and to meet our customers' expectations.

You will be responsible for:

The global registration and listing checks in countries of new flavor substances, working closely together with our innovation & research units and with the product management team to support the global launch. Assessment of regulatory and scientific risks and options of innovative molecules in an early development phase, participation in the set-up of launch strategies for promising candidates and coordinating the data generation for the flavor launch in collaboration with our (eco)toxicological experts and in line with global product safety. Coordination of the flavor registration / notification of these substances under global flavor laws. For parts of our existing product portfolio, you will coordinate discussions with internal and external stakeholders together with toxicological experts, global product safety, research, legal as well as product management. Ensuring compliance and monitoring the national and international flavor / food legislation. Responding to customer questions and maintaining the product specific documentation and information in our IT systems. Representing BASF's interests in flavor associations.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in natural sciences, food chemistry or related scientific discipline. Several years of professional experience in the field of flavor regulatory affairs and / or product safety. Knowledge of EU (and preferably other global) flavor legislations. Strong communication and presentation skills in English (German and / or Dutch are advantageous). Well-developed analytical skills and a solution-orientated mindset.
