Job Description

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 2-3 months with potential to extend
Anticipated Working Hours: 20-40 per week (based on availability of successful candidate)

Our client is seeking a Media Strategist, to be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive media strategies that align with the clients' business goals in the Netherlands. The selected candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all media efforts are integrated, effective, and deliver measurable results. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of various media channels, strong analytical skills, and a passion for staying ahead of industry trends.

What you will do:

  • Craft and implement innovative media strategies that align with client objectives and drive business growth.
  • Develop detailed media plans, including selecting appropriate channels, budgeting, scheduling, and targeting.
  • Focus on media strategies for local markets, prioritizing flyers, radio, outdoor advertising, and other non-social media channels.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape insights.
  • Work closely with creative, digital, and account teams to ensure cohesive and effective media campaigns.
  • Present media strategies and performance reports to clients, addressing their needs and adapting strategies as required.
  • Manage relationships with media vendors, negotiating rates, and ensuring the best value for clients.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging media technologies, incorporating new ideas into strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Compile and present comprehensive reports on media performance, including ROI analysis and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in media strategy, planning, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of various media channels, including digital, social, print, and broadcast in the Netherlands.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful media campaigns.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in media planning and analytics tools.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
