Job Description:

The purpose of this exciting job is to manage the supply logistics teams based in Viersen (VSN) with exciting and transformation projects to go after. This manager role is functionally responsible for inbound raws & packaging coordination, physical outbound distribution, master data and activity execution. This is one part of the role where you can rely on a very experienced and capable team, the other critical part of the role is to drive meaningful change into our logistics network through breakthrough projects and strategies.

The role has a seat in the Site Leadership Team of VSN and is a key contributing member of the European Supply Logistics Leadership team.

What are we looking for?

> 5 years in logistics and people leadership. Could be cross functional move within MARS Inc from adjoining functions such as operations, IE etc..

Could be from similar industry, distributors, or retail

Logistics, Planning, ERP (preferably SAP), Cross country shipments,

What will be your key responsibilities?

Lead, empower, develop and motivate a talented supply logistics team to deliver on our supply chain goals with 10 direct reports excluding contractors and assignments positions linked to projects.

Build a factory and market centric supply chain together with internal and external stakeholders that delivers excellence in (customer) service.

Represent Supply Chain as a key member of the Site Leadership Team of VSN and the European Supply Logistics Leadership Team.

Enhance inbound and outbound resilience for a factory and warehouse that serves more than 50+ markets in Europe, Eurasia and overseas

Accountable for the external 3PL factory warehouses within our physical network for raws, packs, semi-finished goods and finished goods.

Deliver and develop lean and sustainable logistics operations for the Mars Wrigley and other segments delivering on set cost and cash targets.

Responsible for value leadership (cost savings), annual execution plan (budget) and forecast accuracy on LCC (Logistics Conversion Costs) with a direct budget of 4m$

Drive excellence in execution and right first (on) time within the site activity manager and product master data community.

Seamless flow of goods against all latest Customs & Regulatory standards / audits.

Ensure product traceability, hold and release, and recall capability.

Enhance digital and analytical capabilities in the team to maximize performance.
