Job Description:

MS&D Co-pilot - France & Benelux Cluster (H/F/X)

segment : Petcare

Location : Saint Denis de l'Hotel (near Orléans), Paris, Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Veghel

Type of contract : permanent

Co-leads and supports the MS&D lead cluster in the governance, analysis and monitoring of the deployment of its portfolio strategy, innovations/assortment, renovation, promotion & Perfect Store for the cluster or a given market 


He/she steers the deployment strategy and performance of their portfolio within the cycle, working closely with Sales, and the leverage/ SRM specialists 


What are we looking for?

Business school diploma with specialisation in sales/marketing or engineering school with specialisation in sales/marketing  Experience in Demand functions in the FMCG sector, Experience in the field and with customers/categories in a large, structured group is required Marketing/shopper experience is a plus Customer experience: category / or initial experience of negotiation in the field / regional negotiation  Good knowledge of how mass retail works: negotiation, shops, e-commerce & specialist sales networks Excellent command of financial/customer analysis data and external data from retailer and consumer panels Good command of spoken and written English (cluster environment + working with the regional marketing team)


What will be your key responsibilities?

1. SRM :

- Drives the NSV/T KPIs for its portfolio for the cluster's main customers/channels.

- Steers the implementation of the PPA (Price Pack Architecture) strategy in collaboration with the sales teams: construction of execution, distribution by channel, etc.

- Develops expertise in commercial issues for his/her portfolio, based on sound expertise and a good customer focus.

2. Assortment - innovation :

- Steers the distribution and assortment priorities defined by the Region in order to achieve the mix objectives and translate them into assortment plans by channel and customer.

- Drives local KPIs for Distribution promotion, Trade Margin for innovations and adapts regional pricing recommendations within the framework of stagegates (DB/AB/ER).

3. Promotions :

- Steers the implementation of the promotional strategy in collaboration with the Brand Managers and CDMs

- Manages and adjusts budgets according to the effectiveness and ROI of operations

- Ensures the management of promotional operations at customer sites and channels to maximise ROI: post-evaluation of operations, planning scenarios and arbitration of operations with customer teams to maximise ROI

- Develops and engages the teams behind the promotional ROI measurement and monitoring tools.

4. Perfect Store

- Monitors the implementation and pilots the KPIs for its portfolio

- Proposes any adjustments needed to achieve sales targets

- Provides sales pitches by category to customer/field teams

5. Manages and analyses the performance of the portfolio in order to achieve the objectives set as part of the S&OP / C2G cycle.

- Provides the lead and sales teams with the necessary performance management tools as part of the European PDM (Portfolio Deployment Meetings) cycle and the local DMR,

- Periodically monitors its KPIs with the support of tools provided by advanced analytics: NSV , NSV/T , GMAC , as well as market share, consumer and customer data.

- Works with the Ms&D lead and the sales and regional teams to define corrective action plans as part of the cycle.

- Ensures competitive and innovation intelligence in collaboration with CMI within the DMR and PDMs

- Supports customer and field teams in creating specific negotiation and sales pitches

- Contributes to the development of annual plans for his/her portfolio at internal and external meetings.

6. Develops and uses data

- Ensures and makes available the necessary data

- Develops the tools and reports needed to analyse his/her portfolio

Contributes to the sharing of best practice in Advanced Analytics tools and their use by teams
