Purpose
Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) in Laboratory environments are quickly converging, and the Quality Control lab is a complex, operationally critical and technologically diverse environment.
To maximise productivity, enhance data-driven decision making and to protect the operational integrity of our Labs, we need leadership, expertise, and proficiency. We are seeking a Digital Lab Regional Lead who will be responsible for the identification, planning, execution, and operational maintenance of digital initiatives in MGS R&D Solutions regional labs. This includes accountability for execution of the regional digital roadmap in line with the global strategy and priorities and hands-on operational support.
What are we looking for?
3+ years of experience of Lab or manufacturing systems, processes, and technologies Experience working within improvement and/or new technology implementation programs. Experience in the design, implementation, and operation of laboratory technical environments and related hardware and software is helpful, a desire to learn this is critical. Knowledge of cyber security and technology architecture basics Knowledge of industry and government standards, including practical application of those standards. Experience acting as an IT/OT or Lab Systems subject matter expert within laboratory or manufacturing environments is preferred, LIMS CI experience is preferred. Experience working with globally dispersed teams Excellent in verbal and written communication in English
What will be your key responsibilities?
Leadership of key digital activities within the region in coordination with the center and other regions. Accountable for delivery of Development, Pilot and Deployment activities. 1st Line support and SME for IT/OT, including tools, digital products, and system integration. Ensure change is sustainable by actively measuring value realization over time. Own digital Products, including the vision, backlog, and operational support for specific capabilities. Lead local and regional implementations and support the ongoing maintenance of cyber security tools. Provide technical guidance and support to explore new opportunities and identify compelling business value. Be a digital subject matter expert, supporting the ambitions, knowledge, and digital engagement of the labs in the region. Identify and implement improvements that support the operation of equipment, facilities, networks, software, data, and laboratory information systems.
