The Regional Lab IT systems technologist maintains and supports the lab technical environment. This role ensures labs can operate productively and efficiently. This role also has a specific focus delivering LIMS and lab system key user responsibilities. It is responsible for embedding processes and tools into local ways of working and ensuring change meets the needs of our Lab Associates.
The role is proactive in deploying and maintaining efficient lab IT, instrument and system operations in the Lab, whilst ensuring users at all levels have the necessary functional skills through training and communication.
What are we looking for?
The applicant Must have knowledge of Laboratory or Manufacturing processes, systems, and technologies and Proven ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies. 3+ years of experience of Lab or manufacturing systems, processes, and technologies Good understanding of the lab processes and practices A demonstrable record of successful remote peer relationship, able to motivate and engage superiors, peers, direct and indirect associates. A background of working with LIMS can be considered as an advantage. Excellent in verbal and written communication in French and English Experiences in a remote IT support environment is preferable.Key Functional Competencies & Technical Skills :

What will be your key responsibilities?
First level support for Users on processes and related systems Identifying training needs for associates on processes and related systems and train them when relevant Conducting and coordinating any relevant systems testing for the region Responsible to drive and document any changes in laboratory system in accordance with ISO 17025 requirements Documenting local processes to ensure key knowledge is retained Proactive contribution to the global network of Key Users and Functional Experts from other MGS Laboratories Maintaining LIMS and laboratory systems, ensuring they are up to date with local and regional information Development of MGS Labs Digital Strategy. Be a strong voice for lab Associates in your region to develop new digital capabilities that support local, regional and global improvement opportunities. Maintain and support the local systems & asset landscape (all laboratory machines & instruments). This is to ensure adherence to company security policies and includes upgrade discussions and deployment, vendor relationships and working as part of the global digital team to deliver any laboratory system changes in line with MGS lab strategy Assist Lab managers and key stakeholders in data preparation and the delivery of key reports Play a key role in global lab operations by becoming a digital Product Owner for specific lab systems, ensuring consistent deployment across our regional lab network.
