QC Inspector

Nouvall Engineering Services is specialized inproject support for the (petro) chemical and maritime industry.
We provide expertise in the field of Engineering,Project Management, Maintenance, Shutdowns, Construction andSafety.

• Review and comment subcontractorwelding/NDT procedure & qualifications (i.e. welders lists, NDToperator lists, welding consumables management procedure,piping/structural steel certificates, material traceabilityprocedure, Welding Summary List and Welding traceability Reports,etc).
• Perform witness,inspection & surveillance checks and assess continuallyWelding/ NDT subcontractor’s performance.
• Ensure that all inspection activities arerecorded in the appropriate records.
• Ensuring quality of the work for compliance withCQCP, approved ITP’s/ procedures and standards within assignedareas.
• Monitor SubcontractorsQC resource levels to achieve quality standards according to agreedratio.
• Issue status and trendreports as necessary and requested by Site Management providingsuggestions on how to improve quality of welding/ NDTactivities.
• Recorddeficiencies and/or incomplete works on punch items and liaise withWood supervisor/ superintendent to expedite necessaryrectification.
• Identify anddocument Subcontractor and Supplier quality deficiencies andinitiate non-conformance process as required.
• Verify that materials used are in accordancewith project technical documents and applicable codes andspecifications.
• Support QC/turnover team for collecting relevant QCrecords.
• Implement HSEprocedures and standards in compliance with applicable laws, Healthand Safety Documentation and Environmental ManagementManual.
• Be diligent and drawattention to unsafe acts, unsafe behaviours and unsafeconditions.

• Be in possession of internationalcurrent certifications for the role in compliance with IIW; PCN orCSWIP.
• Be in possession ofcurrent qualification of II level NDT in compliance with ISO9712.
• Be fully conversantwith EN standard and AMSE (B31.3) code requirements and have asolid and demonstrated background on welding engineering (e.g.multiple days courses by internationally recognizedinstitutes).
• Previousexperience in application of EN1090 (structural steel) and PressureEquipment Directive PED (for piping) would bepreferable.
